Subject: Service Auction
Are we doing Service Auction again this year? There's an abundance of talent and servant hearts in TYF this year, and it'd be great to share them with other TYFers :) .
Private: No
Planning for TYF events up to the end of May has been done and is jam packed with TYF Formal, Guys' and Girls' Group kick-off, Joint events with other fellowships, volunteering, Bible study, etc. June also looks to be a busy month, with TYF Camp as well as many members away on vacation and such. There is definitely the potential of holding a "Service Auction" in June; on your suggestion, Servant Team will definitely be discussing this at the next planning meeting scheduled for first week of May. However, it may be best to have Service Auction during the school term, since more of the TYF members will actually be in town, and it will be easier to keep accountable of the services we owe to one another ;D.
Thanks for reminding us about the abundance of talent and more importantly, servant hearts, that TYF has for each other and our community, which has been amazingly displayed already this year! We will not forget to plan events that continue to encourage each one of us in TYF to serve God's people.

Subject: Guys and Girls Groups
How much longer before Guys and Girls Groups start :'( ? Do our Caring Coordinators have any crazy ideas for this summer :D ?
Private: No
We're glad to hear you're excited for Girls/Guys group, cause we are too! We'll be having our first official meeting the second week of May (weekend of the 15th), so not too far away from now. After finals, Girls/Guys group will be in full swing.
The two caring coordinators have been hard at work discussing how they can make Girls/Guys group the best it can be this summer. G/GGs are an invaluable time of growth for us as individuals. God has created each of us according to His plan, and it is in His image that women and men together make a whole. At the same time, there are certain challenges and gifts one can understand, learn, and cultivate more naturally as a girl or a guy, and so it is important to build one another up in this area of fellowship too.
Thanks for your enthusiasm. The time is coming, so we'll keep you updated! Talk to you soon!

Subject: TYF Nights
To what extent does the Servant Team plan all the TYF nights (i.e., typical Friday evening events)? What if a regular TYF member has a suggestion for a TYF night?
Private: No
One of the roles of Servant Team (ST) is to make sure that there are events scheduled for TYF nights and members in charge of those nights (to avoid meeting just for the sake of "hanging out" or lack of plans altogether). Some events are planned in line with the vision that ST has set for TYF for that year - for example, it is our priority to make sure that there are Bible studies at least once a month, and cell group team-building events and joint events to foster the theme of unity. And during the nights themselves, we will have sharing, worship, offering, and prayer, etc., in order to further encourage one to meet with God and to allow each other respond to God through different means (such as offering). Other events are traditionally held and special events in TYF, such as Formal, Camp, Retreat, Girls and Guys' Appreciation, etc. However, all other nights are totally directed to involve the creative ideas and needs of the whole TYF congregation, and we encourage TYFer-led nights, such as Cell-group led nights.
If you have a suggestion for a TYF night, please do bring your ideas to any ST member's attention or through this email, and we guarantee to propose them at the next planning meeting for serious consideration. We generally plan for 2-months worth of events; our last planning meeting was held 20 Mar. Feel free to voice your ideas to ST by our next planning meeting, scheduled for early May. We definitely welcome the involvement and creativity!
